Sunshine Blanket

I always have several projects at hand due to my choleric temperament: I have to switch between tasks to work more effectively. So, Bunny was a necessary interruption of a much bigger project. I generally suck at big projects, because it's boooooooring. However, I managed to finish 2 tablecloths (one of them took me several years lol) and a dress. This time I fell for a blanket. Which was not technically a blanket, but Dandelion Mandala with Dandelion Border. I also incorporated Lucky Quatrefoils and a bit of Sophie's Universe. And there will be something else, mostly improvised. And I have to improvise for another metre - at least! - to fit for a bed! But it's already gorgeous, freaking warm and heavy. Ta-da!

Yeah, this baby needs some good blocking..

sneak peek: Bunny McCarrots

On Monday I decided to make a bunny. Actually, Harry (technically, he's a hare). But in the process I found out that there was not enough of yarn in the shade I wanted. What was I to do? Make a new pattern, of course. That's how Bunny McCarrots was born. Unfortunately, all pictures were taken at 1:30 a.m., and the next morning he left for Illinois. So, we currently have what we have.

Front and back with a big fluffy tail (not really fluffy, though). The pattern for the carrot he holds in his paws can be found on this blog.

His shirt is my tribute to Dr Sheldon Cooper. I even attempted to make a superhero carrot embroidery, but the carrot looks like a rocket :)

He got a compliment from my mother who said that he's my first really CUTE amigurumi (she considers all others goofy and weird).

The pattern is on its way with, I hope, embroidered and crocheted options for the nose and eyes (sounds as if someone else is going to do it, huh).

Lars the Lion

The pattern is finally ready! Lars has dangling legs and arms and can sit without any help. I'll be publishing patterns for his accessories here later this year (my mind and hands are currently busy with Eric and an absolutely awesome blanket). So, you can grab Lars, as usual, on Ravelry and Etsy.
